Over time your hard drive collects some serious poundage. Tracking down what files and folders are taking up precious space on your Mac can be infuriating without a third party application to put your files into a manageable report. If you’re well versed in the command line you can probably do this without a third party. If you’re crazy about organization you already know where your files are. Let’s face it, most people don’t fall into this category and need something with a GUI to see what files are where. Enter DaisyDisk.

Ripping DVDs on Macs can be sort of a hassle. There are a few utilities that let you rip DVDs but they are lacking that Mac-like flair. For instance MactheRipper which hasn’t been updated in a while, or FairMount. Unfortunately both utilities have problems with the Disney DVDs and new releases I own so I had to look for something else. Enter RipIt.
